Who we are

This website, https://lamichoacanadenisse.com, belongs to La Michoacana Denisse Corp. (“we”), which runs an ice cream shop in Rockford, Illinois.

Information we collect

When you place an order

Checkout asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number and billing country, the order type, and optional order notes. You can check out as a guest. The site does not currently offer public account registration.

When you pay

Card payments are processed by Stripe, including digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay where your device supports them. Card details are entered into Stripe’s payment fields. We do not see or store your full card number.

Gift cards

When you buy a gift card the form asks for the amount, your name, the recipient’s email address and an optional message. We use them to prepare and send the gift card.

If you start checkout and do not finish

The site has an abandoned-cart feature turned on. If you enter your email address during checkout and leave without completing the order, we save your email address and the contents of your cart and may send you up to three reminder emails, about 30 minutes, 1 day and 3 days later. Each reminder includes a link to unsubscribe. We keep these records until we delete them.

Product reviews

Product pages allow reviews. If you leave one, we receive the name, email address and text you enter, and your IP address and browser details for spam checks.

Information collected automatically

The site uses Google Analytics (installed through Google Site Kit) to measure visits, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. See Google’s privacy policy for details.

Cookies and similar technologies

When you add something to your cart the site sets the cookies woocommerce_cart_hash and woocommerce_items_in_cart so your cart works. Google Analytics and Stripe may also set their own cookies or identifiers. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, such as the cart and checkout, may not work. We do not currently show a cookie banner.

Who we share information with

• Stripe: payment processing.
• Google: Analytics, Google Maps (embedded virtual tour and directions), Google Fonts, and Google reviews shown on the site through Trustindex.
• Trustindex: displays our Google reviews on the home page. Its widget loads from its own servers.
• Hostinger: website hosting and the email service that delivers our order and gift-card emails from web@lamichoacanadenisse.com.
• DoorDash: if you choose “Order on DoorDash” you leave our site. DoorDash is a separate service with its own privacy policy, cart, prices and fees.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep order records, including gift card orders, in our order history so we can help you with your order and keep our business records. We do not delete them automatically.

Your choices and requests

To ask about, correct or delete information you gave us, or to stop reminder emails, contact us using the details above. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Orders should be placed by someone 18 or older, or by a minor with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child gave us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will post updates on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
